Famer, the fastest-growing cloud based youth sports coaching and mentorship mobile platform, today announced an expansion to the Canadian sports market, beginning with a landmark partnership with Basketball World Toronto, one the largest youth basketball organizations in a country where basketball is the leading growth sport for people 16 and under. The expansion into Canada continues a landmark summer for Famer, which has already announced partnerships with LeagueApps, the NBPA and US Sports Camps, the largest and most successful youth sports summer program in North America.

This partnership with Basketball World Toronto again shows that our technology and our user experience is second to none for young athletes, their parents/guardians and for the best coaches in the world,” said Rich Abend, Famer CEO. “While we realize that our cloud based system reaches an audience of potentially millions around the world over time, our key relationships with best in class organizations is the most important part of our growth, and having Michael Reio and his team working with us speaks volumes both for our success to date and for what our future is.”

Famer provides us with a great solution for our thousands of players and coaches who have been displaced in participation due to the Pandemic, it is the best solution we have to reengage with our community and presents us with some outstanding opportunities for the future to compliment and grow all we are doing on the court,” said Michael Reio, CEO & Founder of Basketball World Toronto “For a country like Canada that is so bullish on the sport of basketball, this partnership is coming along at the perfect time.”

In addition to the Basketball World Toronto partnership, Famer currently works with Toronto-based coaches/trainers like Four Point Basketball and Jey-Son Edwards, and is running virtual camps for Sports Camps Canada ( https://www.sportscampscanada.com/) and will launch with several other Hockey, Soccer and Basketball organizations across the country later in 2020

Basketball World Toronto is using all three Famer digital products /plans that reach from their recreational players to their competitive club players to their camps, clinics and personal 1:1 training groups. Famer will provide programming to both augment and enhance the experience athletes already engaged with the organization have had curtailed due to the Pandemic, and also to help expand the reach of the coaches using cloud based interactive learning into the fall and beyond.

While Basketball World Toronto is the first large scale partnership for Famer in Canada, it will not be the last, as other grassroots organizations in Hockey, Soccer and Basketball are anticipated to be announced over the coming months.
